Dead Animals As Art: Taxidermy and Steampunk Taxidermy Art

Taxidermy is a general term describing the many methods of reproducing a life-like three-dimensional representation of an animal for permanent display and it  is a pretty gross and twisted “art” form all on its own.


Taxidermy usually conjures up images of animals caught in awkward stances, their fur mothy and dusty, their eyes glazed over.  


We don’t know exactly what to call this, but we’ll go with “steampunk taxidermy”, a new art form being developed:
